1) Who we are
This website (the “Site”) is operated by Parcel Pigeon (“Parcel Pigeon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in Santa Clara, California, USA. We are the data controller for personal information we collect through the Site.

2) What this policy covers
This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you browse the Site, place an order, contact us, or subscribe to our communications.

Payments: handled by Stripe; we receive limited payment metadata (e.g., success/failure, card brand, last 4 digits)

Device/usage data: IP address, browser, time zone, pages viewed, referring pages, general interactions
Cookies and similar technologies to remember settings, improve performance, and understand usage (see “Cookies & analytics”)
C. Portrait reference photos (for commissions)
If you upload photos for a portrait or custom artwork, we use them only to fulfill your request. We retain them for up to 6 months after fulfillment (unless you ask us to delete them sooner) and we will not use them in our portfolio or marketing without your explicit consent.

5) Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data based on: performance of a contract (to fulfill orders), consent (e.g., marketing emails/certain cookies), legitimate interests (security, analytics, customer support), and legal obligations (tax and bookkeeping).
6) Sharing of information
We share personal information with service providers that help us run the Site (e.g., Hostinger, Stripe, MailerLite, IT/support/analytics vendors) under contracts that restrict their use to our instructions. We may also share information to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud. We do not sell personal information.
7) Payments
Payments made on the Site are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment data under its own privacy policy. We do not store full card numbers.

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

Your choices: You can manage or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality.
9) Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including to meet tax, accounting, and consumer law requirements (for order records). Marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or your account becomes inactive for a reasonable period. See Section 3C for portrait photo retention.

11) Your rights (EEA/UK)
If you are located in the EEA/UK, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise your rights, email hello@parcelpigeon.us. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
12) California privacy information (CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information we maintain about you, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information in ways that require a “limit use” notice.
Categories we collect: identifiers (name, email, address), commercial information (orders), and internet/usage data (device, interactions, IP-derived region).

Purposes: as described in Sections 4 and 6.
How to make a request: Email hello@parcelpigeon.us with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” We will verify your request to a reasonable degree before responding.
13) International data transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own (including the United States) where our providers operate. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).
14) Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16) Third-party links
Third-party websites we link to have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for their content or policies. Review their privacy notices before providing personal information.
17) Do Not Track
Your browser may offer a “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them.
18) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new Effective date, and will highlight material changes where appropriate.
